Matthew Cheetham is co-founder and content director at samurai.fm, a curated online music platform that presents shows from an eclectic range of contributing artists, labels, festivals and organisations to an international audience of music fans. Started in Tokyo 6 years ago it was one of the first sites in Japan to offer on-demand programming and is still one of the few Japanese language sites to provide an unbiased guide to electronic and cutting edge musical forms, although now it’s userbase now extends around the world.

Matt is involved in the non-developmental side of the station setting up partnerships with content providers, attempting to navigate through the licensing maze and managing European operations.

As well as working on samurai.fm Matt is a photographer undertaking a variety of shoots although, probably not surprisingly, music and events form a large part of the work.
