Dave Haynes is Head of Business Development at SoundCloud, the innovative online platform for sending and receiving music. Dave started his career in the music business nearly a decade ago, managing a local record shop, DJ-ing across Europe and running an independent record label. The last 5 years have been spent focused on digital distribution in its various forms, from setting up one of the first specialist MP3 download stores to working at two of the leading independent digital music aggregators in Europe.

Outside of work Dave is a keen blogger on all subjects relating to digital music and social media. As well as contributing articles to publications such as Five Eight he is also co-founder of OpenMusicMedia, the London-based meetup and discussion  group for music industry professionals.
