Andre Ktori

andreWorking in computer music for over 25 years (yes the BBC Acorn, the Apple IIe and Commodore 64) Andre is best known for his work in Interactive Music. He founded the Interactive Music collective AudioRom in the mid 90’s creating enhanced interactive music CD’s such as ShiftControl winning a BAFTA for Design, a Mila Dor for entertainment in Cannes and a Millennium Award for Design and Innovation.

AudioRom’s interactive music installations have been internationally exhibited at galleries such as The Tate Britain,  Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona, and Musée du Louvre. Andre has performed at festivals such as ISEA and Fuse and developed networked performances at FCMM in Montreal and NEMO Amsterdam linked to the AudioRom venue in London called Port55.

More recently Andre has worked in convergence media developing for organisations such as the BBC, Sky, Open, V2 and Nokia. He has also partnered in various creative arts labs and research projects for The DTI, European Commission, London Arts Board and the BBC. In the last 5 years Andre founded Music at the Newport School of Art, Media and Design and has developed undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Creative Music and the sound and music applied research and enterprise initiative called Future Music Lab. Andre is currently producing new generative sound and image works for enhanced CD and 2.0 and interactive music apps for iPhone.
