  An "industry alliance", involving amongst others the BPI and the UK Film Council, has issued a joint statement calling on the government to force ISPs to take action against people who are illegally file-sharing. According to a report on the BBC news site "Eight creative bodies and five trade unions have signed a joint statement asking the government to force ISPs into banning users caught sharing illegally.
