05.04.09Professor Hefin RowlandsProfessor Hefin Rowlands was awarded a University of Wales Personal Chair in 2002 in Quality Management. He currently holds the post of Director of Research and Enterprise at the University of Wales, Newport with overall responsibilities for developing research culture across the University. He is a member of the University’s Institute Advanced Broadcasting advisory panel. He worked for over 10 years at Cardiff University where he achieved his PhD in 1994 on research in combining Artificial Intelligence (AI) eg. 04.30.09Frank BoydFrank Boyd has been one UK's new media pioneers since establishing the Arts Technology Centre in 1989. He was a founder of the European Multimedia Labs, the Digital Media Alliance and BAFTA¹s Interactive Entertainment Awards before joining the BBC Innovation and Learning as Director of Creative Development. At the BBC Frank directed development labs for interactive television, broadband and cross-platform production.
